Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0029769A1] 1. Carburator comprising : a starting device having an unbalanced flap (3) located in the air intake of the carburator, upstream of the opening of a system for introducing a primary air/fuel mixture, said flap being actuated by the airflow drawn by the carburator against the action of a first thermostatic member (5) which biases the flap toward closure when the temperature is lower than a given limit ; a fast idle cam (8) suitable for cooperation with a second thermostatic member (9), for partially opening the driver controlled throttle member (6) when the starting flap (3) is closed, at least partially ; pneumatic means (D) responsive to the vacuum which prevails in the induction passage (1) of the carburator and whose movement controls opening of the flap (3) when the degree of vacuum increases ; and stop means (8b) having several positions, responsive to the ambient temperature and which limit, to an extent which is variable as a function of the position they take, displacement of the pneumatic means, characterized in that the pneumatic means (D) comprise two movable walls (51, 56) connected to each other by a bidirectional connection comprising a determined clearance (j), wherein the first wall (51), which directly cooperates with the stop means (8b), is effective when the throttle member (6) does not exceed the idling position while the second wall (56) is effective when the throttle member is beyond that position.
