1. Mounting and fixing a tiltable vessel or converted on a substantially horseshoe-shaped carrier ring which is closed or open towards one side and which surrounds the converter casing at a spacing, at three points, by means of releasable support and connecting elements which are arranged at spacings of about 120 degrees, and brackets secured to the periphery of the converter casing, one of said brackets being disposed in the plane of tilting movement of the converted, characterised in that the carrier ring (3, 3a, 3b) has upwardly or downwardly extended box walls (9) in which three carrier axis members (7) arranged, with axes parallel to and at a spacing perpendicularly below or above the brackets (2) which are fixed to the converter casing (1a), and the bearing housings (5) of the pivot bearings (6) associated with the carrier axis members (7) bear against the top or bottom of the brackets (2), and that hinged screws (8) are pivoted to the bearing housings (5) and are passed in slots through the brackets (2).

Lagerung und Befestigung eines kippbaren Gefässes oder Konverters (1) an einem geschlossenen oder nach einer Seite offenen, etwa hufeisenförmigen, den Gefässmantel (1a) mit Abstand umgebenden Tragring (3,3a,3b) an drei Punkten. Dazu sind am Umfang des Konvertermantels im Abstand von ca. 120° Konsolen (2) angeordnet, von denen eine in der Kippebene des Konverters (1) liegt. Den Konsolen (2) zugeordnete, am Tragring (3,3a,3b) befestigte Stütz- und Verbindungselement umfassen drei Tragachsen (7) und Lager (6) wobei die Lagergehäuse (5) mittels Klappschrauben (8) mit den am Konvertermantel (1a) vorhandenen Konsolen (2) lösbar verbunden sind. Die Tragachsen (7) und Lager (6) sind entweder im oberen Bereich des Tragringes (3,3a,3b) und die zugehörigen Konsolen (2) am Konvertermantel (1a) oberhalb des Tragringes (3,3a,3b) angeordnet oder die Tragachsen (7) und Lager (6) befinden sich im unteren Bereich des Tragringes mit unterhalb desselben am Konvertermantel (1a) befestigten Konsolen (2). Gemäss einer anderen Ausführung ist der hufeisenförmige Tragring (3b) abgewinkelt und mit oben angeordneten Tragachsen (7) und Lagern (5,6) versehen.
