Abstract (en)
To achieve high internal-wall temperatures in the region of the liquid level and, at the same time, a long service life of a continuous casting mould (1) and to improve the surface quality of the cast strand (5), especially as regards the oscillation marks, the mould (1) is provided with an insert (6) in the copper wall (2). This insert (6) consists of a material of lower thermal conductivity than the copper wall (2) and extends to just below the liquid level (8). This insert (6) is connected to the copper wall (2) by a multiplicity of strip-shaped, electron-beam welded, tooth-like connections (9) arranged at a mutual interval. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Zur Erzielung von hohen Innenwandtemperaturen im Badspiegelbereich bei gleichzeitig hoher Standzeit einer Stranggießkokille (1) sowie zur Verbesserung der Oberflächenqualität des gegossenen Stranges (5), insbesondere hinsichtlich der Oszillationsmarken, ist die Stranggießkokille (1) zum Gießen von Stahl mit einem Einsatz (6) in der Kupferwandung (2) versehen. Dieser Einsatz (6) besteht aus einem Material geringerer Wärmeleitfähigkeit als die Kupferwand (2) und reicht nur bis knapp unter den Badspiegel (8). Dieser Einsatz (6) ist mit einer Vielzahl von streifenförmigen, elektronenstrahlgeschweißten, mit Abstand zueinander angeordneten, zahnartigen Verbindungen (9) mit der Kupferwand (2) verbunden.
