Raisable bed of which the base to which the feet are fixed is connected to the mobile frame adapted to receive the bed spring by at least two rods mounted to pivot about shafts fixed to said base and subjected to the action of elastic means tending to move their end fixed to the mobile frame away from said base, locking means retaining the frame in low position against the base and unlocking means releasing the frame and unlocking means releasing the frame and allowing the elastic lifting means to be actuated, in which each rod extends one of the ends of a helical spring working in flexion around a shaft fixed to the base, the other end of said spring itself being connected to said base, characterized in that a rocking member is provided, mounted to pivot on the mobile frame and returned into a rest position in which it projects by a first end with respect to the bottom of the mobile frame and cooperates by its other end with the locking means so as to oppose disengagement thereof, the rocking member pivoting under the weight of the bed spring when it rests on the frame, said pivoting eliminating the blocking action of the locking means.
