[origin: US4365243A] The invention concerns an interface device for the entry of data into an instrument of small volume such as a timepiece and comprises a static touch responsive sensor formed by a plurality of juxtaposed electrodes. An electronic logic circuit on the one hand receives signals emitted by the sensor representing the position of a finger on the sensor and on the other hand provides output clock pulses to a first and a second counter. Switching means in the electronic logic circuit enable the switching of the clock pulses to the first counter if the finger is moved over the sensor at a speed v1 less than a threshold speed v2 or to the second counter if the finger is moved over the sensor at a speed v3 greater than the threshold speed v2. The invention may be employed in small timepieces for time setting for example.

Le dispositif interactif d'entrée de données pour instrument de petit volume, notamment pour pièce d'horlogerie, comporte un capteur statique (100) sensible au toucher qui est formé par la juxtaposition d'une pluralité d'électrodes (101). Un circuit électronique logique (113), d'une part, reçoit les signaux émis par le capteur et qui sont représentatifs de la position du doigt sur ledit capteur et, d'autre part, délivre à sa sortie des impulsions d'horloge à un premier (115b) ou à un second (115a) compteur. Des moyens d'aiguillage (125, 124) contenus dans le circuit électronique logique (113) permettent d'aiguiller les signaux sur le premier compteur si le doigt se déplace sur le capteur à une vitesse v1 inférieure à une vitesse de seuil v2 ou sur le second compteur si le doigt se déplace sur le capteur à une vitesse v3 supérieure à ladite vitesse de seuil v2. Le dispositif trouve son application notamment dans les pièces d'horlogerie de petit volume pour sa mise à l'heure par exemple.
