[origin: CA1145242A] Abstract Apparatus for forming packaging blanks from a continuous web has belts which grip the web at its lateral edges and convey it forwardly. The belts have recesses extending laterally of the conveying direction and blades are arranged to sever the packaging blanks from the web and to pass through the recesses, so that the blank is severed from the web while it is gripped by the belts.
