Abstract (en)
A bimetal assembly for a thermally releasing switch gear consists of a bimetal strip (3), which causes the release, and a hot wire (1) connected thereto and designed in a U-shape. A bridge part (5) is provided between the limbs of the U (2) against which it is supported and with which it is electrically connected, the bridge part (5) being located parallel to at least a part of the hot wire so that, as a result of the position of the bridge part on the limbs, the quantity of heat passed through the hot wire (1) to the bimetal strip (3) can be determined as a function of the current flowing through the hot wire. This arrangement facilitates the release of the switch gear using the same resistance and bimetal parts for different release regions. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Eine Bimetallanordnung für ein thermisch auslösendes Schaltgerät besteht aus einem die Auslösung bewirkenden Bimetallstreifen (3) und einem mit diesem in Verbindung stehenden, U-förmig ausgebildeten Heizleiter (1). Zwischen den Schenkeln des U (2) ist ein an diesen anliegendes und mit diesen elektrisch verbundenes Überbrückungsteil (5), vorgesehen, das zumindest einem Teil des Heizleiters parallel liegt, so dass durch die Lage des Überbrückungsteiles an den Schenkeln die durch den Heizleiter (1) an den Bimetallstreifen (3) abgegebene Wärmemenge in Abhängigkeit von dem den Heizleiter durchfliessenden Strom bestimmt werden kann. Diese Anordnung ermöglicht die Schaltgeräteauslösung unter Verwendung gleicher Widerstands- und Bimetallteile bei unterschiedlichen Auslösebereichen.
