In a hair curler, a hair roller (6), provided with radially projecting spikes (12), can be removed from the heatable curler rod. In order that the heatable surface (3) of the curler rod (2) is as fully effective as possible for heating the hair, the sleeve of the hair roller is perforated in relatively large areas and the hair roller is arrested against radial rotation on the curler rod. This is achieved in that the curler rod (2) has outwardly open longitudinal grooves (4) and the hair roller (6) has inwardly projecting guide webs (8) which fit into the longitudinal grooves. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Lockenformer ist ein mit radial abstehenden Zinken (12) versehener Lockenwickler (6) vom beheizbaren Formerstab abziehbar. Damit die beheizbare Oberfläche (3) des Formerstabes (2) zum Erwärmen der Haarlocken möglichst voll wirksam wird, ist die Hülse des Lockenwicklers in größeren Bereichen durchbrochen und der Lockenwickler auf dem Formerstab gegen radiale Drehung arretiert. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß der Formerstab (2) nach außen offene Längsnuten (4) und der Lockenwickler (6) nach innen abstehende, in die Längsnuten passende Führungsstege (8) aufweist.
