1. A process for the preparation of non-permanent molds out of a mold composition consisting of sand or other molding material, binding material on the basis of alkali silicates and 0.3 to 3 percent by weight of a phenolic or furan resin which are cured by gasing with carbon dioxide, and occasionally other known additives as silanes, polyhydric alcohols and polysaccharides, whereas the mold composition is brought in forms and cured, characterized in that the phenolic or furan resin contains 0,1 to 1,5 percent of its weight of a drier and the alcalisilicate amounts to 2 to 5 percent by weight.

Verlorene Formen aus Sand oder anderen Formgrundstoffen mit kalthärtenden Bindemitteln auf Basis von Alkalisilicaten mit Zusatz von Phenol- oder Furanharzen werden hergestellt, indem man dem Formgrundstoff 0,3-3 Gewichtsprozent einer Bindemittelkomponente I, bestehend aus Phenol- bzw. Furanharz und 0,1-1,5 Gew.% eines Trokkenstoffes sowie 2-5 Gew.% einer Bindemittelkomponente II, bestehend aus Wasserglas, zumischt, in Formen einbringt und in bekannter Weise härtet.
