[origin: WO8102151A1] The loop is formed of a core (2) composed of one or more wound threads, loosely wrapped lengthwise in a protective, seamless fabric tube (3). On this tube are provided one or two flat ribs (4) disposed diagonally opposite to each other, which causes the protective tube to have a flat oval shape before loading. The ribs act as a support for a connecting seam (7, 14) for two juxtaposed loops. The seams (7, 14) can also be used to fix a wear-protective layer (13), or also to assemble several loops (1) or slings (12) together to form a mat.
