[origin: EP0032859A1] A packing case for bottles 5-7 includes an insert 8 preferably for holding three bottles in side-by-side relationship which may be a moulded component having cradles for the bottles and blocks 24-26 with grooves for receiving the bottle necks frictionally. The case is usable for display and access purposes by removing the bottles, removing the insert and breaking the insert into two along a line of weakening 40 and, repositioning part of the insert in the case so that the remaining portions of the cradles are in register with apertures 42-44 in a lateral wall 2 of the case, and through which the bottles can be passed base end first so as to lie in the cradle portions with the bottle necks projecting from the case. <IMAGE>
