[origin: WO8100295A1] A fluid coupling and shut-off valve (1) for insertion into a fluid pressure line, the coupling (1) having a body (2) a pressure connecting piece (3) and a coupling piece (8). The body (2) includes a pressure actuated thimble (19) which engages catches (14) to lock the coupling piece (8) in the body (2). Reduction of pressure in chamber (34) due to reduced pressure in the supply line (4) causes the spring (23) to move the thimble (19) and release the catches (14). The spring (33) then moves plunger (26) to eject the connecting piece (8) and thus prevents fluid flow through the coupling (1) when the valve member (27) engages the seat (25).

Une vanne d'accouplement et de coupure de fluide (1) est montee dans une canalisation de fluide sous pression, l'accouplement (1) ayant un corps (2), une piece de connexion a pression (3) et une piece d'accouplement (8). Le corps (2) comprend une bague actionnee par la pression (19) qui engage des arrets (14) pour verrouiller la piece d'accouplement (8) dans le corps (2). La diminution de la pression dans la chambre (34) due a une pression reduite dans la canalisation d'alimentation (4) fait que le ressort (23) deplace la bague (19) et libere les arrets (14). Le ressort (33) deplace alors le piston (26) pour ejecter la piece de connexion (8) et empecher ainsi l'ecoulement de fluide au travers de l'accouplement (1) lorsque la vanne (27) porte sur le siege (25).
