[origin: DE3000920A1] The decorative facings are formed by several wood-like, fibrous, branch-less highly flexible strands. These are made from the core of a tropical liana plant e.g. palmyra which can be of any length but have a constant cross-sectional area over their entire length. They are placed in position side by side axially parallel so as to contact each other without any gaps or spaces to form an optically closed covering or lining These strands are fastened by fins (3) to the underneath structure (2) now giving the appearance of a crane structure but without the disadvantages such as easy splitting.
