[origin: ES8201828A1] A method for sterilizing a thermoplastic strip moving forward stepwise and used in the production of hot-formed containers which, after forming, are filled and sealed in a sterile atmosphere, which method consists, before the strip softening operation, in exposing the surface of said strip which is subsequently to constitute the inside face of the containers, evenly and intermittently, in successive portions and for a very short period of time, to a temperature higher than that of the softening point of the said thermoplastic strip and which is dependent on the desired extent of bacterial destruction.

Procédé de stérilisation d'une bande thermoplastique avancée pas à pas et destinée à la fabrication de récipients thermoformés qui après leur formage sont remplis et scellés, dans une atmosphère stérile, avant l'opération de ramollissement de la bande (2), on expose uniformément, de façon intermittente, par zones successives (17) et pendant un laps de temps très court, la surface de cette bande (2) constituant ultérieurement la face intérieure des récipients (7), à une température qui est supérieure à celle du point de ramollissement de ladite bande thermoplastique et qui est fonction du taux de destruction désiré de bactéries.
