A device for adjusting the height position of a disk rack (1) in a domestic dish washer, comprising laterally arranged rack guides (2, 31), by means of which the rack (1) can be moved out of the tube into a loading position situated in front of the dish washer, and a supporting element (3, 33) associated with each of the rack guides (2, 31), by means of which element said rack is retained at a selected height position, characterized in that each supporting element (3, 33) comprises two upper and lower parts (9, 10, 34, 35) which are vertically slidable relative to each other and which can be fixed in different relative positions by means of disengageable latching portions, of which the lower part (9, 34) is connected to the rack guide (2, 31) and of which the upper part (10, 35) retains the dish rack (1).
