Abstract (en)
[origin: JPS56106889A] PURPOSE:To reduce a number of parts, facilitate the assembling thereof and miniaturize the device by a method wherein a ribbon feeding is effected utilizing a wire driving a carrier in the serial printer utilizing an ink ribbon casette. CONSTITUTION:When a driving drum 12 is rotated clockwise by the rotation of a motor 17, the wire 5b is wound around a drum 12 and the carrier 3 is moved to the right at this time. On the other hand, the wire 5a is rewound from the drum 12 and rotates a pulley 8a counterclockwise. This rotation is transmitted to a rotary shaft 7 through a one direction clutch 9a mounted to the pulley 8a and an ink ribbon feeding roller 6 is driven. In the same manner, when the carrier 3 is moved to the left, the wire 5b rotated the pulley 8b counterclockwise when it is rewound from the drum 12, the rotary shaft 7 is rotated through the one direction clutch 9b and rotates the ribbon feeding roller 6 into the direction same as before.
