Abstract (en)
The plug consists of a case with a pushbutton projecting from each side, and three pins mounted for insertion into a socket. The centre pin is screwed permanently into the end of the plug for earth connection. Each outer pin is screwed through an elongated clearance hole into the end of a pushbutton, which can be pressed towards the centre and locked against the resistance of a spring. All three pins are split so as to be able to fit into holes of various dias., and are wired to the ends of a three-core cable through the rear face of the case. An adjustable socket may be formed with a similar structure having female connector holes in place of the male pins. The split pins projecting through elongated holes can be repositioned and/or compressed so as to cooperate with sockets of different hole dia. and spacing.
