[origin: WO8001979A1] The articulated bed is comprised of a tubular frame (10), of a mattress in three parts: a back (11), a seat (12) and a leg rest (13), of a cradle (14) having the shape of an arc of a circle, welded to the frame (10), of a carriage (15) capable of running on the cradle (14), and of a compressed air jack (16) exerting an action on the carriage (15). Due to the combined actions of the weight of the carriage (15) and the jack (16) the mattress is substantially in a neutral balance state in all the relative positions that the back (11) and the seat (12) may take.

Le lit articule est constitue par un chassis tubulaire (10), par un sommier en trois parties: un dossier (11), un siege (12) et un appuie jambes (13), par un berceau (14), en forme d'arc de cercle, soude au chassis (10), par un chariot (15) susceptible de rouler sur le berceau (14), et par un verin a air comprime (16) dont l'action s'exerce sur le chariot (15). Sous les actions conjuguees du poids du chariot (15) et du verin (16) le sommier se trouve pratiquement en etat d'equilibre indifferent dans toutes les positions relatives que le dossier (11) et le siege (12) peuvent occuper.
