A vertically adjustable platform-trestle for theatre stages or the like comprising a platform (1) carried by a top frame (2), arrestable supporting scissors (4) articulated to the corners of the top frame (2) and a means for vertical adjustment having a manually actuated or motor operated screw spindle drive characterized in that the movable upper ends of the supporting scissors (4) are provided with detent pins (11) which can be pulled out of retaining holes (12) of the lateral spars (10) of the top frame (2), in that the detent pins (11) can be temporarily arrested even in an unlocked position of the platformtrestle, and in that the means for vertical adjustment is additionally provided with lifting scissors (14, 15) arranged below the platform (1) which - alternating with the supporting scissors (4) - uphold the platform (1) only during the vertical adjustment operation.
