1. Automatic inflating apparatus for a divers life jacket, comprising a breathing sensor and a time delay element which, if the pressure fluctuations in the first stage of the breathing equipment caused by breathing cease for a fairly long period, opens an inflating valve (15), characterized in that the breathing sensor comprises a casing (1) having an annular, elastic membrane (9) and a stop plate (5), bridging across the aperture of the membrane and displaceable in the casing, this casing being disposed at one end of a pressure balancing chamber (7), at the opposite end of which a casing (2) comprising a time delay element (3, 10, 11) is mounted, which is connected by means of a connecting rod (6) passing through the pressure balancing chamber with the stop plate (5), which latter prossesses a collar which, if breathing ceases for a fairly long period, opens the inflating valve (15).

Das Atmen des Tauchers verursacht in dem Niederdruckbereich der Lungenautomatik periodische Drucksenkungen. Diese breiten sich durch den Schlauch (22) in die automatische Aufblasvorrichtung und verursachen vor der Anschlagsplatte (5) mit Membrane (9) Drucksenkungen. Die daraus resultierende Kraft zieht über die Stange (6) den Kolben (3) des Zeitverzögerungs-Elements, entgegen der Kraft, die aus der Druckdifferenz in den Räumen links (33) und rechts der Trennscheibe (10) auf die Stange (6) einwirkt. Im umgekehrten Fall, wenn das Atmen ausbleibt, bewegt sich die Stange (6), gebremst durch das Verzögerungs-Element so lange nach rechts, bis die Anschlagsplatte (5) das Aufblasventil (15) öffnet und die Druckluft durch den Faltenschlauch (41) in die Rettungsweste einströmen lässt.
