[origin: WO8100533A1] A plurality of machining units (6, 7, 8) simultaneously orientable at least along three axes, are arranged around a central table (1) of a machine tool, with the possibility of indexing said table continuously or step by step; the workpiece which is securely centered on the support may be machined simultaneously on a number of its faces. The workpiece is always moved together with the support on the table and, away from the latter, the exchange of one support holding a given workpiece by another support with another workpiece is effected on an exchange unit. At the center of the table (1) is provided a tool changing device (23), by means of which the tools used in all the machining units are taken out of a store (14) provided all around the changing device (23). A common control device (28, 29) controls the motions of the machine units, of the exchange unit for the workpiece support and of the tool changing device.

Plusieurs unites d'usinage (6, 7, 8) qui sont orientables simultanement au moins dans trois axes, sont disposees autour d'une table centrale (1) d'une machine-outil, cette table pouvant etre indexee de maniere continue ou pas a pas; la piece a usiner qui est solidement centree sur le support, peut etre usinee simultanement sur plusieurs de ses faces. La piece a usiner est toujours deplacee ensemble avec le support sur la table et, hors de celle-ci, l'echange d'un support portant une piece a usiner determinee contre un autre support avec une autre piece a usiner, a lieu sur une unite d'echange. Au centre de la table (1), est prevu un dispositif (23) d'echange d'outils, avec l'aide duquel les outils, utilises dans toutes les unites d'usinage, sont pris hors d'un magasin (14) dispose tout autour du dispositif d'echange (23). Un dispositif commun de commande (28, 29) commande les mouvements des unites d'usinage, de l'unite d'echange des supports de pieces a usiner et du dispositif d'echange des outils.
