Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0035123A1] 1. A stretcher support stage or chassis for securably supporting stretchers, in particular for ambulances usable on rough terrain, the stretcher support stage or chassis comprising U-shaped upwardly open guide rails (2, 3) and locking members (6, 6', 6'', 6''', 7, 8) which are each associated with one of the guide rails (2, 3), with the locking members associated with one guide rail (2, 3) being jointly adjustable, wherein the locking members, in cooperation with the respectively associated guide rail, secure feet (19) which are arranged on the stretchers, and which can be pushed into the guide rails, in form locked manner against impermissible relative movement in the direction of all three spatial axes, characterized in that - stretchers, the feet (19) of which have a different spacing in the transverse direction (track width) and different foot width and/or shape, in addition to a different longitudinal spacing, can be secured because - the guide rails (2, 3) have a rail width sufficient for the largest foot width, - at least one (3) of the guide rails (2, 3) is appropriately widened for not only stretchers with the largest track width to be pushed into place but also stretchers with the smallest track width, - abutment members (10, 11) with wedge-like inclined front surfaces (10', 11') which narrow the rail width and which cooperate with the stretcher feet (19) are fixedly arranged at the one end region of the rails (2, 3) and block the end region of the rails (2, 3) for the feet of stretchers of on track width and leave the end region free for the feet of other stretchers with another track width, and - the locking members (6, 5', 6'', 6''', 7, 8) arranged at the two guide rails (2, 3) are jointly engageable and disengageable by means of a common actuating device (13, 14, 15).
