A continuously operating vaporiser system for contaminated liquids, which consists of a plurality of separate vaporiser columns (V1 , V2 , V3 ) and condensers for the distillates formed, characterised in that a plurality of vaporiser columns are inserted one after another in the flow path of the liquid to be decontaminated, in which there are provided a return path (D2 , D3 ) for each of the condensed distillates from the vaporisers (V2 , V3 ), which are connected after the first evaporator (V1 ), to the respective preceding evaporator (V1 , V2 ), and residue discharge means (A2 , A3 ) from each preceding evaporator (V1 , V2 ) to the respective succeeding evaporator (V2 , V3 ), and the condensed distillate (D1 ) from the first evaporator (V1 ) is available for further use or transfer as practically uncontaminated byproduct.
