This binding is of the type comprising an articulated plate serving as support with a front stop and with a heelpiece. The heelpiece (5) fastened on the plate (2) extends beneath the latter via a base plate whose rear edge forms the fixed bolt of a lock whose keeper is formed by the combination of a slide (10) fastened on the ski and by a carriage (14) controlled by means located at the rear of the binding assembly such that, according to the position given to this carriage, the rear edge of the base plate of the heelpiece is or is not held by the said carriage. <IMAGE>

Cette fixation est du type de celles comportant une plaque articulée servant de support à une butée avant et à une talonnière. La talonnière (5) fixée sur la plaque (2) se prolonge en-dessous de cette dernière par une embase dont le bord arrière constitue le pène fixe d'une serrure dont la gâche est constituée en combinaison par une glissière (10) fixée sur le ski et par un chariot (14) commandé par des moyens situés en arrière de l'ensemble de la fixation, de telle sorte que, suivant la position donnée à ce chariot, le bord arrière de l'embase de la talonnière est ou n'est pas retenu par ledit chariot.
