Abstract (en)
[origin: CA1143106A] 6747 INVENTOR: ERIKA SCHINYDER CAN INVENTION: TOILET WITH FLUSHING DEVICE AND SELF-CLEANING TOILET SEAT A toilet is constructed such that the toilet seat is rotatably arranged with respect to its circumferential direction. A device for liquid cleaning and disinfection of the seat surface only extends over a segment of the toilet seat. During the seat cleaning operation the toilet seat advantageously is moved by means of a transport roll which is driven by a drive gear. Within a chamber or space there is accomplished cleaning of the toilet seat with water. In an adjacently situated chamber there is sprayed onto the toilet seat by means of a nozzle a rapidly vaporizing disinfecting or sterilizing agent. The liquid cleaning operation is accomplished automatically during or following the flushing operation. The equipment has extremely small dimensions and is simple in design. It allows for efficient and economical utilization of the disinfecting or sterilizing agent.
