Sole for shoes, having a sole upper side facing the sole of the foot and a sole under side facing the running surface, consisting of at least two prefabricated and substantially rigid parts (1, 2) and of at least one connecting part (3) of flexible material arranged in the region of the ball and glued to the substantially rigid parts (1, 2), which connecting part (3) is confined at the upper side (4) of the sole by parallel and straight edges extending over the total width of the sole, the substantially rigid parts (1, 2) as well as the connecting part (3) having at least at the marginal portions located adjacent each other a pore or cell structure, the pores or cells being at least partially opened at the surfaces glued to each other, characterized in that the connecting part(s) (3) is (are) formed of one single piece over the total thickness of the substantially rigid parts (1, 2) and that the cross-section of the connecting part(s) (3), taken in longitudinal direction of the sole, enlarges continuously in the lower region of the connecting part(s) in direction towards the under side of the sole (5).
