Deep-drawn sheeting which has a metallic coating on one side and whose uncoated side must be undamaged and capable of being coated while the coated, and particularly galvanised, side should provide uniform corrosion protection has recently been required, especially by the automotive industry. Various known processes, such as spraying on the coating material, dipping the strip and removing the coating on one side, adhesively bonding or welding together two strips before dipping and subsequent separation, have not led to the desired success. The present invention seeks to achieve satisfactory uniform metallic coating of the strip being passed through, with little constructional effort and exact adjustability of the coating thickness, and proposes, in the case of a strip (B) fed above the coating medium around a guide roller (2), conveying the coating medium by means of a bucket roller (3) opposite to the strip feed direction, towards the surface of the strip (B).

In letzter Zeit wird, insbesondere von der Automobilindustrie, einseitig metallisch beschichtetes, tiefziehfähiges Blech verlangt, dessen unbeschichtete Seite unbeschädigt und lakkierfähig Sein muß, während die beschichtete, insbesondere verzinkte Seite einen gleichmäßigen Korrosionsschutz darstellen soll. Verschiedene bekannte Verfahren, wie Aufsprühen des Beschichtungsmaterials, Tauchen des Bandes und Entfernen des überzugs auf einer Seite, Aufeinanderkleben oder -schweißen zweier Bänder vor dem Tauchen und anschließendes Trennen haben nicht zum gewünschten Erfolg geführt. Die Vorliegende Erfindung will ein einwandfreies gleichmäßiges metallisches Beschichten des durchlaufenden Bandes mit geringem Bauaufwand bei exakter Einstellbarkeit der Beschichtungsdicke erreichen und schlägt vor, bei oberhalb des Beschichtungsmediums um eine Umlenkrolle (2) geführtem Band (B) das Beschichtungsmedium mittels einer Schöpfrolle (3) entgegen der Banddurchlaufrichtung gegen die Oberfläche des Bandes (B) zu fördern.
