Die Erfindung betrifft eine aus dauerelastischem Werkstoff bestehende Auflage für eine liegende oder sitzende Person, die aus einem Formkörper (1,4) hergestellt ist. Der Formkörper (1,4) ist auf seiner Auflageseite mit Rippen oder Noppen (2,5) versehen, von denen mindestens ein Teil schräg zur Längsachse (3,6) der Auflage liegt. Demgemäß können die Rippen oder Noppen (2,5) bei einer aufliegenden Person im Gesäßbereich schräg in Richtung auf den Beinbereich zeigen, im Lendenwirbelbereich (8) etwa senkrecht zur Längsachse (3, 6) der Auflage verlaufen und im Rückenbereich auf den Kopf zeigen.
