A weatherstripping section for door and window frames, with a fixing strip (24, 70) consisting of hard material, as e.g. hard PVC, that is more specially able to be fixed in the frame opening of the cover frame (10), and at least one sealing strip (36, 54, 78) running out from the fixing strip, the said sealing strip being of soft elastic material and resting against the window or door leaf frame next to it, and furthermore a halfround pipe (40, 56, 86) of soft elastic material bridging the fixing strip (24, 70) is u-like in cross section, in that the sealing strip (36, 54 and 78) is designed running out from one arm (30, 76) of the u-like fixing strip sideways to the outside, in that the one lengthways edge of the half-round pipe (40, 56, 86) is directly joined with the sealing strip for supporting same, either by being joined with the middle part of the sealing strip or by having its one lengthways edge running toward the free sealing edge (38, 84) of the sealing strip (36, 78) at an acute angle, and in that the other lengthways edge of the half-round pipe is joined with the other of the other arm (28, 74) of the u-like fixing strip.
