[origin: WO8100891A1] An improvement to a fuel pump comprising a lip formed at the open end of a fuel pump body. The lip (29) is bendable over the outer margin of diaphragm (11) inserted into the body to form a fluid seal between the body and the diaphragm. The seal is capable of withstanding abnormal forces such as occur during a crash while retaining its integrity.

Une amelioration a une pompe de combustible comprend une levre formee a l'extremite ouverte d'un corps de pompe de combustible. La levre (29) peut se plier sur le bord exterieur du diaphragme (11) introduit dans le corps pour former un joint de fluide entre le corps et le diaphragme. Le joint est capable de supporter des forces anormalement elevees telles que celles qui se produisent pendant un accident tout en conservant son integrite.
