Hinged connection between a glass plate (5) and a wall, for example a cupboard wall, in whcih connection the hinge is composed of two basic pieces (1, 2) which are interconnected in an articulated manner, one (1) of these basic pieces being capable of being inserted into a shoe (4) in order to make the connection to the glass plate (5), this hoe being fastened inside an incised recess (8) which extends up to the edge (26) of the glass plate (5), and possessing two oppositely-located internal grooves (9, 10) for the purpose of receiving the basic piece (1), these grooves running longitudinally, characteirzed in that - the incised recess (8) possesses a trapezoidal cross-section, resembling a swallow-tail, which is open only towards one (20) of the surfaces (20, 21) of the glass plate (5), and in that its sidewalls (22, 23) diverge at its inner end (11), at least on one side, in order to form a widened area (24) which is preferably circular in shape, and - in that the shoe (4) is provided on its closed side (11), with an enlargement (25) which corresponds to the widened area (24), and possesses, in the region of the portion (12) which has not been widened, a trapezoidal cross-section which corresponds to the trapezoidal shape of the incised recess (8).
