Abstract (en)
The housing of the loudspeaker enclosure comprises a front baffle, two side walls (14), a rear wall (16), a cover plate (15) and a bottom plate (17). In the baffle, two low-range loudspeakers (2, 3) and two mid-range loudspeakers (4, 5) are mounted and in a further baffle set back with respect to the said baffle, two high-range loudspeakers (7, 8) are mounted. To suppress standing waves and vibrating air columns, the chamber bounded by the said walls and plates is subdivided into three sections of space (21, 21', 21'') in the interior of the housing by two partitions (18, 19) arranged to be inclined with respect to the side walls. Each partition contains a cutout (23, 24) in which a sound attenuating element (25) is arranged. In parallel with the rear wall (16), a separating wall (30) for forming a pressure equalising passage extending therebetween is arranged. The input to the pressure equalising passage is a slot (31) between the separating wall and the bottom plate and the output is a slot (32) between the cover plate and the rear wall. The pressure equalising passage is partially lined with sound absorbing material and is used for equalising extremely high sound pressures inside the housing with respect to the ambient atmosphere. <IMAGE>

Das Gehäuse der Lautsprecherbox umfasst eine frontseitige Schallwand, zwei Seitenwände (14), eine Rückwand (16), eine Deckplatte (15) und eine Bodenplatte (17). In der Schallwand sind zwei Tieftonlautsprecher (2, 3), zwei Mitteltonlautsprecher (4, 5) und in einer gegenüber der genannten Schallwand zurückgesetzten weiteren Schallwand sind zwei Hochtonlautsprecher (7, 8) montiert. Zum Unterdrücken von stehenden Wellen und schwingenden Luftsäulen ist die durch die genannten Wände und Platten begrenzte Kammer im Innern des Gehäuses durch zwei bezüglich der Seitenwände schräg angeordnete Zwischenwände (18, 19) in drei Raumabschnitte (21, 21',21") unterteilt. In jeder Zwischenwand ist ein Ausschnitt (23, 24) vorhanden, in dem ein Schalldämpfungselement (25) angeordnet ist. Parallel zur Rückwand (16) ist eine Trennwand (30) zum Bilden eines sich dazwischen erstreckenden Druckausgleichsdurchganges angeordnet. Der Eingang des Druckausgleichsdurchganges ist ein Schlitz (31) zwischen der Trennwand und der Bodenplatte und der Ausgang ist ein Schlitz (32) zwischen der Deckplatte und der Rückwand. Der Druckausgleichsdurchgang ist teilweise mit schallschluckendem Material ausgelegt und dient zum Ausgleichen von extrem grossen Schalldrücken innerhalb des Gehäuses gegenüber der Umgebungsatmosphäre.
