The invention relates to a step-by-step jack with safety device, in which a traction support such as a cable (A) is actuated by a set of clamps which is mobile relative to a set of clamps fixed at a reference position, one of the two sets of clamps being clamped against the traction support and the other unclamped while the two sets are being moved apart, and conversely while they are being moved together. The jack is characterised in that at least one set of clamps is provided with a safety device possessing a detection member (12) for detecting any movement of the traction support at the level of this set while the latter should be clamped, and a closure trigger member (15) for clamping the other set of clamps in this situation. The invention may be used in construction techniques. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un treuil à entraînement pas à pas à dispositif de sécurité, dans lequel un support de traction tel qu'un câble (A) est actionné par un jeu de pinces mobile par rapport à un jeu de pinces fixe à un emplacement de référence, les deux jeux de pinces étant l'un serré contre le support de traction et l'autre desserré pendant l'éloignement des deux jeux, et inversement pendant leur rapprochement. Le treuil est caractérisé en ce qu'au moins un jeu de pinces est muni d'un dispositif de sécurité comportant un organe de détection (12) pour détecter tout défilement du support de traction au niveau de ce jeu alors que celui-ci devrait être serré, et un organe de déclenchement de fermeture (15) pour serrer alors l'autre je de pinces. L'invention peut être utilisée dans les techniques de construction.
