[origin: EP0037452A2] Fire barrier for a passage opening (2) through which an interrupted rail track (4) of a conveying installation passes. The gap (5) between the rails is bridged by a rail portion (16) which is secured on a suspension (18, 20). The suspension (18, 20) is arranged outside the outline of the passage opening (2) and held on a slide-like shut-off element (10) which can be moved in front of the passage opening (2) and into the gap (5) between the rails.
