[origin: US4374006A] Known white gold baths containing 2-10 g/l of gold as the sulfito complex, 2-40 g/l of alkali sulfite, 2-40 g/l of a complex former, 1-10 g/l of nickel and 1-20 g/l of cadmium, in each case in the form of a water soluble salt are sensitive to impurities of heavy metals and cyanide. This sensitivity is removed by adding 0.5-10 g/l of orotic acid and/or a derivative and/or salt thereof.

Bekannte Weißgoldbäder auf der Basis 2 - 10 g/l Gold als Sulfitokomplex, 2 - 40 g/l Alkalisulfit, 2 - 40 g/l eines Komplexbildners, 1 - 10 g/l Nickel und 1 - 20 g/l Kadmium jeweils in Form wasserlöslicher Salze sind empfindlich gegen Verunreinigungen durch Schwermetalle und Cyanide. Diese Empfindlichkeit läßt sich beheben durch Zusatz von 0,5 - 10 g/l Orotsäure und/oder deren Derivate und/oder deren Salze.
