In agitatable mills for manufacturing dispersions of solid particles with liquids, in particular for manufacturing paints, having at least one grinding pot under overpressure which is partially filled with a grinding agent and a sieve being provided before the discharge, considerable difficulties arise from the fact that the grinding bodies of the grinding agent collect and stick together upstream of the sieve. In order to achieve homogenisation of the grinding effect of the grinding agent within the grinding pot as well as a constant cleaning effect in respect of the sieve and thus an increase in the dispersion effect and of the throughput rate, it is proposed to provide the grinder (4) with a driven rotation body (6) approximately at the level of the sieve (5), which rotation body is designed in such a way that the sieve is kept free of coagulations of the grinding bodies of the grinding agent, the sieve being extended with a discharge space (7) lying on the discharge side over a circumference of approximately 180 DEG with respect to the rotation body (6). <IMAGE>

Bei Rührwerkskugelmühlen zum Herstellen von Dispersionen fester Stoffteilchen mit Flüssigkeiten, insbesondere zum Herstellen von Farben, mindestens einem unter Überdruck stehenden Mahltopf, welcher zum Teil mit einem Mahlmittel gefüllt ist und wobei vor dem Auslauf ein Sieb vorgesehen ist, ergeben sich erhebliche Schwierigkeiten dadurch, daß sich die Mahlkörper des Mahlmittels vor dem Sieb sammeln und zusammenballen. Um eine Vergleichmäßigung der Mahlwirkung des Mahlmittels innerhalb des Mahltopfes sowie eine ständige Reinigungswirkung in bezug auf das Sieb und damit eine Erhöhung der Dispersionswirkung und des Durchsatzes zu reichen. wird vorgeschlagen, das Mahlwerk (4) etwa in Höhe des Siebes (5) mit einem angetriebenen Rotationskörper (6) zu versehen, welcher derart ausgestaltet ist, daß ein Freihalten des Siebes von Zusammenballungen der Mahlkörper des Mahlmittels erfolgt, wobei das Sieb mit einem auf der Auslaufseite liegenden Auslaufraum (7) über einen Umfang von etwa 180° in bezug auf den Rotationskörper (6) erweitert ist.
