A device (10) for storing articles (12) which are packaged preferably in cuboid form or cylindrically and which can be stacked successively in at least one row in a compartment (14, 16, 18) provided with guide surfaces (20, 22, 24). A slide (26), guided along a slot (40) in the compartment base, acts on the articles in the direction towards a removal point at the front end of the compartment. Vorrichtung (10) zum Deponieren von vorzugsweise quaderförmig oder zylindrisch verpackter Waren (12), die in wenigstens einer Reihe hintereinander in einem mit Führungsflächen (20, 22, 24) versehenen Abteil (14, 16, 18) stapelbar sind. Dabei wirkt ein längs eines Schlitzes (40) im Abteilboden geführter Schlitten (26) auf die Waren in Richtung auf eine Entnahmestelle am vorderen Ende des Abteils. Um ein einfaches Nachfüllen zu ermöglichen, wobei die nachzufüllenden Waren hinter den vorhandenen Waren deponiert werden sollen, ist das Abteil in Längsrichtung verschiebbar ausgebildet und der Schlitten weist einen aus dem Abteil herausragenden Vorsprung (42) auf, der zur Begrenzung der Schlittenbewegung und der Abteilbewegung in seiner vorderen Endlage gegen einen festen Anschlag (50) andrückbar ist.
