[origin: US4438303A] The present invention relates to an assembly forming interfitting socket and plug for connection to a circuit in which the socket is mounted, without the circuit opening. The socket comprises a housing at the bottom of which is housed a switch of the pressure type returned to position of closure by an elastic blade and two first branch contact elements projecting on two sides of the housing; the plug is guided between these sides and has a wide push element which is provided laterally with second branch contact elements coming into contact with the first ones before the end of the push element opens the switch by pushing the elastic blade, so that the continuity of the circuit in which the socket is mounted is preserved when the plug is connected or disconnected.

La borne (20) comprend un logement (13) au fond duquel est logé un interrupteur (14) du type à pression rappelé en position de fermeture par lame élastique (18a) et deux premiers éléments de contacts de dérivation (22,23) faisant saillie sur deux côtés (13a,13b) du logement; la prise (30) est guidée entre les côtés (13a,13b) et présente un poussoir large (34) qui porte latéralement des seconds éléments de contacts de dérivation (28a,29b) venant en contact avec les premiers avant que l'extrémité du poussoir (40) ouvre l'interrupteur (14) en repoussant la lame élastique (18a), de façon que la continuité du circuit (11) sur lequel la borne (10) est montée soit préservée lors de la connexion ou de la déconnexion de la prise (30).
