[origin: ES8103220A1] The process of protecting heat sensitive regions of textile material webs from damage during thermo-treatment by preliminarily subjecting such regions to a suitable cooling or chilling agent selectively applied to such regions in order to lower the temperature thereof sufficiently so that the ultimate elevation caused by the normal subsequent thermo-treatment will not be adequate to bring about damage to the heat sensitive regions.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Wärmebehandlung textiler Warenbahnen, insbesondere von Strickware, auf Ausrüstmaschinen, bei dem bestimmte Bereiche der Warenbahn, die wärmeempfindlich sind, vor der Wärmebehandlung so stark abgekühlt werden, dass sie sich durch die Wärmebehandlung nur auf eine für die Warenbahn unschädliche Temperatur wieder erwärmen. Dieses Abkühlen der textilen Warenbahn geschieht beispielsweise mit Flüssigstickstoff, der auf die vor zu starker Wärme- und/oder Dampfeinwirkung zu schützenden Bereiche der Ware aufgesprüht wird.
