[origin: US4376414A] To permit clamping of a flexible printing plate (2) around a circumference of a printing cylinder (1) in either direction, a clamping groove (3) is formed with two inclined side walls (4, 5) which converge towards the open side of the groove, and are positioned in mirror-image relation with respect to a central plane (10) passing through the midpoint of the groove. A leaf spring element (11, 12; 11', 11''; 12') having two clamping portions (13, 14), shaped and positioned to fit against opposite walls (4, 5) of the groove, clamps the end portions (8, 9) of the plate against one of the side walls, the clamping portions being pressed into position by a clamping wedge body (16) having matching outwardly shaped surfaces and fitting against the clamping portions of the spring, the clamping wedge body being pressed outwardly to wedge the clamping wedge body (16) by a compression spring (15) bearing against the bottom (6) of the groove.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Befestigen von biegsamen Druckplatten (2) auf dem Plattenzylinder (1) von Rotationsdruckmaschinen, der eine achsparallele Grube (3) besitzt, liegen die beiden Grübenwände (4,5) jeweils spiegelsymmetrisch zur Mittelsenkrechten (10) der Grube und laufen jeweils mit gleichem spitzen Winkel zur Mantelfläche (7) des Plattenzylinders aus. Ferner ist eine Klemmfederanordnung vorgesehen, die zwei Blattfederteile (11,12) besitzt, deren Klemmschenkel (13,14) sich im wesentlichen jeweils entlang eines Teils einer Grubenwand erstrecken. Die beiden Klemmschenkel sind durch keilförmige zueinander angeordnete Druckflächen (17,18) eines längs der Mittelsenkrechten der Gruben verschieblich geführten und ständig von einer Druckfeder (15) in Richtung Mantelfläche des Plattenzylinders druckbeaufschlagten Klemmkörpers (16) jeweils in Richtung der angrenzenden Grubenwand auslenkbar. Das abgewinkelte Druckplattenende (9) ist im Spannzustand zwischen den an einer Grubenwand anliegenden abgewinkelten Druckplattenanfang (8) und einem der beiden Klemmschenkel eingespannt, während der andere Klemmschenkel sich an der anderen Grubenwand abstützt. Die dabei über den druckfederbeaufschlagten Klemmkörper (16) eingeleitete Spannkraft erhöht sich bei Rotation des Plattenzylinders in Abhängigkeit von der Drehzahl durch den dann auch fliehkraftbeaufschlagten Klemmkörper.
