A cyclone of this type is distinguished by a considerably reduced overall volume and weight for substantially the same pressure loss and degree of separation.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen insbesondere für mehrstufige Wärmetauscher bestimmten Zyklon, dessen Eintrittsspirale in mehrere übereinanderliegende Teilspiralen unterteilt ist, die eine unterschiedliche, von oben nach unten abnehmende Länge aufweisen. Ein solcher Zyklon zeichnet sich bei etwa gleichem Druckverlust und Abscheidegrad durch ein wesentlich verringertes Bauvolumen und Eigengewicht aus.
