Dimensionally stable sheetlike textile materials are obtained by treatment with polydiorganosiloxanes having terminal crosslinkable groups, in particular hydroxyl groups, from an aqueous system using specific crosslinking agents. The crosslinking agents used are aminoalkyldialkoxyalkylsilanes of the formula <IMAGE> where R is a monovalent aminoalkyl radical composed of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen and optionally oxygen which has at least one amino group and is bonded to the silicon atom via a silicon-carbon bond, R' is an alkyl radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, X is an alkyl radical of 2 to 4, in particular 3, carbon atoms or an alkoxyalkyl radical of 3 to 8 carbon atoms, or self-condensates and/or partial hydrolysates thereof.

Dimensionsstabile flächenförmige Textilmaterialien werden durch Behandeln mit Polydiorganosiloxanen mit endständigen, zur Vernetzung befähigten Gruppen, insbesondere Hydroxylgruppen aus wäßrigem System mit speziellen Vernetzungsmitteln erhalten. Als Vernetzungsmittel dienen Aminoalkyl-dialkoxyalkylsilane der Formel <IMAGE> deren Eigenkondensate und bzw. oder Teilhydrolysate, wobei R einen einwertigen, aus Kohlenstoff, Wasserstoff, Stickstoff und gegebenenfalls Sauerstoff aufgebauten Aminoalkylrest. der mindestens eine Aminogruppe aufweist und über eine Silicium-Kohlenstoff-Bindung an das Siliciumatom gebunden ist R' einen Alkylrest mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen, X einen Alkylrest mit 2 bis 4, insbesondere 3 C-Atomen oder einen Alkoxyalkylrest mit 3 bis 8 C-Atomen, bedeuten.
