1. Device for improving the surface appearance of rolled and annealed metal sheets, characterised in that it is formed essentially of one or more cylinders, the radii of which are at most equal to about 75 times the thickness of the metal sheet, and in that it also comprises means for giving the metal sheet a rolling angle on each cylinder of between 10 degrees and 40 degrees, and means for effecting a traction of between 20% and 80% of the elasticity limit of the metal sheet.

Pour des tôles minces laminées et recuites, an acier présentant un palier à la limite d'élasticité, l'aspect superficiel est amélioré en réglant, par un écrouissage préalable approprié, l'écartement des bandes de déformation qui apparaissent à la sortie des dispositifs de planage, de skin-pass, etc... Le dispositif de mise en oeuvre est composé essentiellement d'un ou plusieus cylindres (C1, C2, C3) de rayons R1, R2, R3 au plus égaux à environ 75 fois l'épaisseur e de la tôle T. L'invention s'applique de façon particulièrement avantageuse à l'amélioration de l'aspect de surfaces de tôles minces devant être ultérieurement peintes ou revêtues, notamment galvanisées.
