Wandering of a strip (6) in a hot rolling line is prevented by the provision of a hot roller leveler (3) and a side guide (9, 10) between a finishing mill and a coiler (5). At least one of the leveler rolls (31) is made adjustable in angle in a horizontal plane and/or in a vertical plane with respect to the strip (6).
