[origin: US4365901A] A matrix printer with a printing head which is displaceable along a paper guide in the line direction and which has a number of printing elements which have a first printing position for printing from left to right and a second printing position for printing from right to left. The printing head with its printing elements is automatically moved from the one printing position to the other printing position by variation of the impulse of movement of the printing head upon each movement reversal of the printing head by means of a position changer which is displaceable with respect to the printing head.

Matrixdrucker mit einem entlang einer Papierführung in der Zeilenrichtung verschiebbaren Druckkopf, in dem sich eine Anzahl von Druckelementen befindet, die eine erste Druckstellung zum Drucken von links nach rechts und eine zweite Druckstellung zum Drucken von rechts nach links besitzen. Der Druckkopf mit seinen Druckelementen wird durch eine Änderung im Bewegungsimpuls des Druckkopfes bei jeder Bewegungsumkehr des Druckkopfs automatisch von der einen Druckstellung in die andere Druckstellung mittels eines in bezug auf den Druckkopf relativ verschiebbaren Stellungswechselorgans verschoben. Der beschriebene Matrixdrucker wird u. a. bei Bürocomputern verwendet.
