1. A device for applying a viscous liquid product, and more especially an adhesive mixture, to a face (F) of a moving support (L), which device comprises an applicator shoe (19) having, at one end, a nose (21) pierced with at least one orifice (22) for distributing the application product, which is normally placed in the immediate vicinity of said face (F) of the moving support and which communicates with an application product supply duct (14) equipped with a closure valve (15), characterized in that said applicator shoe (19) is mounted for pivoting about a fixed axis (20) substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the support (L) and comprises means (24, 25; 34, 35, 37) for positioning the nose of the shoe adapted for maintaining this latter in a variable work position, these positioning means comprising at least one resilient member (25; 37) which urges the shoe in its pivoting direction towards the support (L).

La présente invention concerne un dispositif d'application d'un produit liquide visqueux, et notamment d'un mélange collant, sur une face sensiblement plane d'un support se déplaçant devant lui, ainsi qu'une installation d'encollage équipée d'un tel dispositif. Ce dispositif ce caractérise en ce qu'il comprend un sabot applicateur (19) monté pivotant autour d'un axe fixe (20) parallèle à ladite face (F) et perpendiculaire à la direction de déplacement du support (L) tout en étant incliné dans le sens de déplacement (B) de ce dernier, ce sabot présentant à son extrémité libre un nez (21) parallèle à son axe de pivotement (20) et percé d'au moins un orifice relié, par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit (14) équipé d'un clapet (15), à des moyens d'alimentation en produit à appliquer (3, 4, 10, 11), un organe de commande (27), actionné automatiquement lorsque l'une ou l'autre des extrémités du support atteint une position prédéterminée par rapport au nez du sabot, étant prévu pour rendre actifs ou inactifs les moyens d'alimentation et le clapet.
