The device comprises a station (9) for cutting pieces of an endless material and a station for binding (12) where the fingers (3) of clamps (5') are pressed into the holes (32) of a package of sheets by the jaws (34) of a locking device. Thus, the sheets are held together. Two endless screws (14 and 18) provide for the feed of endless material for the clamps (5) to the cutting station (9) and thereafter of the clamps (5') to the binding station (12). At least one motor (20) and at least one coupling (23) provide for the intermittent driving of the endless screws.

Vorrichtung zum Binden von gelochten Bögen durch eine aus Draht gebogene Fingerbindung. Die Vorrichtung hat eine Schneidvorrichtung 9 zum Abtrennen von Stücken des Endlosmaterials und eine Bindestation 12, an der von Schließbacken 34 einer Schließvorrichtung die Finger 3 der abgetrennten Bindungsstücke 5' durch die Löcher 32 eines Packens von Bögen gedrückt werden, wodurch die Bögen zusammengehalten werden. Zum Fördern des Endlosmaterials der Fingerbindung 5 zur Schneidvorrichtung 9, durch diese hindurch und der abgetrennten Bindungsstücke 5' zur Bindestation 12 dienen zwei Schnecken 14 und 18. Sie werden von mindestens einem Motor 20 unter Verwendung mindestens einer Schaltkupplung 23 intermittierend angetrieben.
