Automatic dispensing apparatus for objects or services subject to payment, comprising electromechanical means (5) for counting different collected coins or the like (NP1 to NPK ), electronic means (6, 60, 61) including a microprocessor (6) for controlling the operation of the apparatus (A), a removable coin box (C) held closed by hooping with a band (81) to collect said coins, and means (7, 70, 72, 73) included in the coin box (C) and connectable to the electronic means (6) simultaneously to the insertion of the box (C) in the apparatus (A) for storing collected coin numbers (NP1 to NPK ) under the control of the electronics means (6, 60, 61) during the operation of the apparatus with the coin box, characterized in that the storing means comprises a random access memory (7) of RAM type, and means (70, 72, 73) for permanently holding the power supply of the RAM memory when the coin box (C) is removed from the apparatus (A) and the storing means (7, 70, 72, 73) are disconnected from the electronic means (6, 60, 61), said RAM memory (7) further storing other informations (NAP, NTV, NTC, DS) than the coins numbers (NP1 to NPK ) during the operation of the apparatus (A) with the coin box (C).
