Abstract (en)
[origin: KR840001081B1] This watch movement (3) is housed in a cylindrical recess(2) in the base(1) under a dial(4). The upper surface(11,18) of the center(5) of the case is entirely covered by glass (14), which is divided into three parts. The outer sheet of glass(15) is bonded to a smaller inner sheet(16), which ensures a close fit with a sleeve(23) in the central opening(12). An opaque frame(17) is also bonded to the transparent glass(15) and surrounds the projection(13) on top of the case. The frame may be of transparent material rendered opaque by a vapor-deposited film(22) a few hundred angstrom units thick. The center, base and transparent glass may be mass-produced cheaply for use in a variety of special frames.
