This packaging comprises a central bore (1) within which the material (2) is wound. The storing volume is defined by two lateral flanges (3), (4). According to the invention, the outer edges (5), (6) of the lateral flanges (3), (4) are folded towards each other in such a way that they are normally held in mutual contact, the said flanges (3), (4) having a certain flexibility which allows them to be separated from each other when it is desired either to wind up the filamentary material (2) or to unwind it. <IMAGE>

L'invention concerne un emballage permettant de stocker une matière filiforme sous la forme d'un enroulement à spires, cet emballage comportant un boyau central (1) à l'intérieur duquel la matière (2) est ?enroulée. Le volume de stockage est défini par deux flasques latérales (3), (4). Selon l'invention, les bords extérieurs (5), (6) des flasques latérales (3), (4) sont repliées l'une vers l'autre de telle sorte qu'elles soient normalement maintenues en contact mutuel, lesdites flasques (3), (4) présentant une certaine flexibilité permettant des les écarter l'une de l'autre lorsque l'on désire soit enrouler la matière filiforme (2) soit la dévider.
